At a recent meeting of Creagh Neighborhood Watch, local Gardai Liaison Officers from Ballinasloe station outlined a very comprehensive crime prevention Programme to the committee. Mr. John Connolly chairperson thanked the Gardai for the commitment and ongoing support shown to community policing in the Creagh area. He also paid tribute to local publican Mr. Tommie Costello and his family for all their hard work in hosting a recent fundraising event in "The Country Man Bar" and for all the sponsors who provided very generous spot prizes on the night.

The meeting was told that the data base of local area representatives and street coordinators, had been recently updated and all houses in the parish had received the latest copy of the Neighborhood Watch Newsletter in October. The newsletter was sponsored by The Ballinasloe RAPID Community Support Budget and the committee wishes to acknowledge this support and thank all involved.

In conclusion, the chairperson told the meeting that security personal alarms were still available and people requiring one, could contact their area representatives or any member of the committee before the end of November.
