Announced at a recent meeting of Suck Valley League on Monday, 3rd December 2007, in Mountbellew was a sponsorship deal with Stronges Photos and Phones of Ballinasloe to the value of €10,000.

The local business is to be the official sponsor of the league donating prizes to the value of €10,000 to participating teams in the form of team souvenir photographs. The winning eight teams in the Cup and the Shield will receive canvas prints of there winning teams for their clubhouse each to the value of €250.

Padraic Gavin said "over 850 children & teenagers take part in the now named 'Stronges Photo & Phones Suck Valley Hurling League' between under 12, under 14, under 16, & under 18s" and added "This is a great opportunity for the clubs to build up their teams at all levels."

In announcing his sponsorship Gerry Stronge of Stronges Photos & Phones said "He was delighted to Sponsor this very successful hurling league, and he went on to wish all the teams the best of luck"
