THANKS: to all who have contributed to the life of the parish in the past year through your time, faith and example. A Happy & Joyful New Year to all. What specific contribution might you make to foster better family life for you and your family? Practice being more encouraging and affirming than critical of family members. Be forthright about facing conflicts that keep family members apart, and be courageous enough to deal with them until they are resolved. Think of a way to spend quality time with a parent, a grandparent, a son or daughter who needs more attention. Practice listening rather than always giving advice. Take delight in the different personality traits of other family members. Let them know how much you enjoy their uniqueness. |
