CLONFERT-GYOR: Irish Hungarian Pilgrimage & Festival under the leadership of Bishop Kirby from 11th-15th July. Bishop Walter Lynch of Clonfert was given help & support in Gyor, Hungary in the period 1648-1663 when he
was forced to flee Ireland under the Cromwellian persecution. He bequeathed a picture of Our Lady & the infant Jesus to the Cathedral in Gyor. It has become a major place of Pilgrimage to Our Lady – Consoler of the Afflicted. Details: Society Travel – (090) 9645350.
