A PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS.
Loving Father, you gave us your son as the good shepherd who spent his life for the glory of your name and in the service of his people. Sent into the world by you to carry out your mission, he called and sent his apostles to continue that mission as shepherds of your people. In our need we ask you to bless us with good shepherds who will guide us in the way of the gospel and bring us your healing presence. May many from our diocese hear your call and respond with generosity so that we may always have shepherds to remind us of your care, your compassion and your life-giving presence. We ask this through your Son, the model for all shepherds, Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
