Ballinasloe is located on the N6 main Dublin to Galway road. The town is served by trains and buses daily.

Buses

Bus EireannBus Eireann (Purchase online through Bus Eireann's Website, at a bus station or on the bus)
Leaves from Bus Aras (Central Bus Station) in Dublin City and from the Train Station in Galway City. Stops and picks up at he Duck Inn Bar on Dunlo street in Ballinasloe on the Dublin to Galway Route. Stops and picks up at McArdles Bar (across from The Duck Inn) on Dunlo Street in Ballinasloe on the Galway to Dublin Route. Stops in most towns and villages on the route. Offers many other routes around Ireland also.

CityLink Express Coach (Purchase from Society Travel, Keller Travel, Online through Citylink's website or on the bus)
Very quick express coach. In Dublin it usually starts at Dublin airport and travels through Dublin City (the bus stop has moved in the city due to road works so see website for latest info or call them on +353 (0)91 564163). Leaves Galway City from the tourist office (near the railway station). In Ballinasloe it stops and picks up at Gullane's Hotel on the Galway to Dublin (Airport) route and stops and picks up at Kellers Travel on Main Street on the Dublin (Airport) to Galway route. Offers Dublin (Airport) - Galway route and Galway to Shannon Airport route. Very handy for journeys that begin at Dublin Airport going to Ballinasloe or Galway or other towns on the route. It is adviseable to prebook tickets as some route times sell out quickly.

Runs a few times a day on the Galway - Dublin Airport route. Has a late bus leaving from Dublin Airport.

Iarnrod EireannIarnrod Eireann - Irish Rail (Purchase online through Iarnrod Eireann's website, at the railway station or on the train).
The train station is located 1 mile from the town centre. The train serves the Galway to Dublin line but some other locations i.e. cork and belfast can be reached via train changes.
