There will be an information evening on the Big Brother Big Sister Programme in Ballinasloe on Tuesday 16th January 2007 at 7.30pm in The Emerald (beside the fire station).

The Big Brother Big Sister programme is a mentoring programme that forms friendships between an adult volunteer and a young person who will benefit from extra support. The programme is in operation in 37 countries around the world and is now coming to Ballinasloe.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ireland are now actively recruiting volunteers from Ballinasloe and the surrounding areas. The BBBS Programme is open to both male and female adult volunteers who can share 1-2 hours a week with a young person.? Initial training and ongoing support is provided for volunteers

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, know somebody who might be interested or would just like to learn a little bit more about the programme, please come along to the information night.
