The Towns second team were at home to Erricsons of Athlone this weekend and both teams played their socks off over the full length of the opening half 0-0 at the whistle.

The town lads started the second half the stronger, and 10 or 15 minutes in Kenny Doherty put the ball in Erricsons net 1-0. That goal was to be the only score of this tightly fought match.
