Our under 18's traveled to Castlrea last weekend, and in very poor pitch conditions came away winners. After 15 minutes Mikey Madden crossed for Colm Riddle to slot home 0-1. Ten minutes later Robert Ahearne doubled the advantage 0-2. Then a few minutes before the break Castlrea pulled one back through a penalty 1-2. The Second half the "town" controlled 90% of the play and Robert Ahearne "sailed" past 4/5 defenders to slot the ball in the net 1-3.
Good performances from Mikey Madden, Steven Carroll and Robert Ahaerne. This win leaves the Town sitting pretty on the top of the table.
