This Friday night the 23rd of November sees the annual Ballinasloe and District Soroptomists Club Poker Classic take place in the Carlton Shearwater Hotel .

Dealing will start at 8.00 p..m. sharp - and the prize fund this year is a sizeable €1,500. Tickets, for what promises to be a fun filled evening;  are priced at a very modest - €30 which are available both on the door and from the Hotel.

President Marie Staunton has nominated the Ballinasloe Social Services and the West of Ireland Alzheimers Foundation as the beneficiary charities for the event.
