As for the Lyon game the other night...........
I can't comment on that as I didn't see it.

I know, it sounds like something Sir Alex would say when in a post match interview when asked why United were awarded yet another dubious penalty.  Tongue

Wednesday's result really summed up Liverpool's season so far, controlling the game with ease for long period's
Not taking their chances when presented and most importantly what was one of the meanest defences in the premiership
the recent season's has turned into the ugliest,To sack Benitez would not be the right move, firstly because to cost to sack him would cost the club around
13-14 million and secondly their would be an exodus of player's i.e Reina,Torres etc..Hopefully with a couple of positve results and a tiny bit of luck we can get back to salvaging something from a season that has been nothing short of dire.

If Liverpool sacked Benitez, they would only have too pay his wages
untill he found another job. They gave him a new 4 year contract
last year but if he was sacked tomorrow and got a job a couple of
months later, it wouldn't cost the Pool that much. I also think that
Torres and Reina are "pure Pool" and would stay even if Benitez
was gone. No manager is bigger than their club.

Liverpool are favourites for the Europa League 7/1!  Wink

Maybe they should have taken Owen for free.

What the hell is going on in Anfield and Melwood?
I love all the slagging and * but The Almighty Liverpool will
never sink to the sorrowful depths that Leeds and Forest are in.
It will take a while to get over being knocked out by Reading (?).
But the Almighty Liverpool (Envy of the World) will still gain a top 4 place this season.
Just you watch.

All we need is a manager who knows what planet he's on.

8 or 9 good players would also come in handy. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Come on Hill be realistic! Liverpools only chance of Europe next season is to win the Europa league this season.

Manchester United fans are willing to pay Rafas wages for the next three years.

All slaggin aside, this is the worst i have seen Liverpool play ever! They basically have the same team as last year with one vital ingrediant missing.
Which happens to be on of the best "Tactically Aware"footballer's ever to grace the Anfield pitch.
Yes his name was Xabi Alonso.I think their is a lot of disilusioned players at Anfield due to the handling of the Alonso exit.
The board and owners better act quick because if something isn't done to stop the rot, then yes they WILL become the next leeds utd.

End Rant

Leeds never attempted to sign Kenwyne Jones.   Even we know he's S***e !   Also, we're still in with a shout to get to Wembley.

I went to see a soccer match once in my life,it was back in the 60s,Liverpool V Everton.Steve Highway and Ean St John were playing for Liverpool.
I'm pretty sure I did not see much of the match,I spent the time watching the famous Crop/Cop ,or whatever it was called, it was frightening .
