The Olympic Games, The Soccer World Cup, The Ryder Cup, The Anything.....

Who cares ?  Lets talk Rugby !

I always get a bit jitttery in the run up to the 6 Nations.

Like I said 12 months ago, It's my favourite sporting tournament.

I get nervous because Love it.

Even The Rugby World Cup doesn't hold a candle to the 6 Nations.

The 6 nations is unique.  I love it

And we're top of the world.

It's what we're good at.

Best of Luck to our boys again this year.

It's my favourite too Hill, 6 weeks of tremendous sport.  The wife was out yesterday buying essential supplies and the list looked like:

I can't wait. I was jumping for joy, literally when they won it last year, it was better than any World Cup victory for me. You'd need a crowbar to get me out from in front of the TV tomorrow!

BRING IT ON

Here is my (extremely racist) prediction...

We have Italy tomorrow. Should  be a easy enough. Piece of cake if the truth be told. 20 point win

The Frogs next Saturday (16:30) are bloody diifficult in Paris, but if we overcome them we can repeat last years success . 3 point win.  (Tis Dodgy though.)

Next up is England in Twickenham (27 Feb 16;00). If Ireland are as good as they think they are, this fixture shouln't be as daunting as it once was, Ireland are on top of the world but England expect to be there. And they will be again. But i think Ireland have the strength to win this by 6 points .

Taffy won't be happy after last years result and will be baying for blood in Croke Park.(13 March, 14:30).  I reckon this will be our toughest game of the campaign. The Welsh won't win the 6 nations, but they will take pleasure trying to stop the reigning champiions from dioing so. With home advantage I reckon we will win by a kick of the ball. Watch the Welsh.

Now the Scots. (20 March, 17:00). No offence but the last game of the tournament should be a warm down for Ireland. Last game in Croker too.
Ireland to win by at least 20 points.

IRELAND
FRANCE

ENGLAND
WALES
ITALY
SCOTLAND

By the way, the closing match of this years tournament takes place in "Stade de Frog" between France & England at 19:45.
It just so happens that the 6 Nations and Grand Slam Trophy will be paraded down O'Connell Street at the same time !

Good result on the scoreboard but I thought they were lacking in the second half. Still, a win is a win.

2 more poor performances in the Wales-England game, but either team could beat Ireland judging by today's performances.

A much better game today between France and Scotland. Neither team was at the top of their game but even so, France are a daunting prospect for next week.

I'm not a rugby fan by any means, but I'll support Ireland in anything except Uphill Hound Ski-ing (you have to draw a line).   I was in a pub Saturday afternoon during the Ireland vs Italy game when a group of young guys came in and requested the channel be switched to Utd v Portsmouth - and it was, despite my protestation.   Sad.

That's crap, alright. You can be damn sure that if it was an Ireland soccer international and you and your mates asked for a provincial rugby game to be switched on, it wouldn't be.
